Why We’re Here

Burnout among South Dakota physicians is prevalent. In a recent survey of South Dakota physicians, 33% of responses identified burnout.

Physicians are human just like everyone else and are not immune to mental health issues or the need for care. Everyone needs a safe place where they can talk about their stress and physicians are no different.

That is why the South Dakota Physician Well-Being Program was created – to address the important issue of well-being.

Self-care is normal.
